Heritage Helps

The time is now.  Your church needs your talents and your time!  We have numerous ministries which need your help! 

Our community continues to have food insecurity as the economy struggles to recover from the pandemic. Members and friends are needed to assist in this expanding food distribution program efforts behind the church on Saturday, December 17. Volunteers are needed during the week to assemble approximately 250 boxes and from 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to sort the food and prepare the boxes for pick up or delivery. If you are willing to serve, please notify Roz Fehr in the Community Outreach Ministry.

For the month of October, the Lord has made a way for us to distribute 1,200 boxes of 32 pounds during weekly distribution sessions on Saturdays in October.  We will be partnering with the Fairfax County Food Access program and the US Department of Agriculture Food Delivery program to give away more than 4,800 boxes, or more than 153,600 pounds of food this month!  

Inside each box is everything needed to bless a family with nutritious meals:  produce, dairy and meat.

Under it's Heritage Helps program, Heritage Fellowship Church will provide packages for families in need, including 22 pounds of food.

Pick up is at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. and will last until 11:00 a.m. or until food runs out. We will also distribute at the 7-11 at 1111 South Elden Street in Herndon.
