It is the Heritage custom to provide shelter meals on the third Sunday and holidays, so on October 16, 2022, Heritage Fellowship Church congregation members will provide Sunday dinner for residents at the Embry Rucker Shelter. The address is 11975 Bowman Towne Dr, Reston, VA 20190. Please prayerfully consider how you might help our brothers and sisters in need by providing the menu items for dinner at the shelter or serving dinner to residents from the shelter kitchen.
If you want to help serve dinner, please signup on the link below. To donate menu items, click on the food slot below to indicate the food you'd like to donate and share the love! We will provide a hot meal for approximately 75 guests. For those dropping off a hot food donation, please take it to the shelter's back door on Labor Day, where tables are provided, between 3 and 4 PM. Please place a note on your dish indicating you intend your menu item for use at the Shelter's Labor Day Evening dinner. Volunteers are needed in the kitchen between 4 and 6:30 PM. You must wear a mask to serve in the kitchen.
