Candidates for Board

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce there are two new candidates to serve on the board.

  • Andrew Lewis

Below are short descriptions of the candidates and their service to Heritage Fellowship Church. Their names will be publicized for 30 days.  Please provide  your feedback to the board at heritageboard@heritagereston.org

Gladys Hampton

Mrs. Gladys Hampton, is a seasoned professional whose career journey commenced in Los Angeles, California. With a rich background in program controls, contracts, and compliance, she navigated various roles within the Aerospace Industry while employed by multiple government contractors. In March 2013, she gracefully retired as a Contracts and Finance Business Partner. However, driven by a desire to contribute further, she re-entered the workforce in 2015, culminating in her second retirement in June 2023.

During her distinguished career, Gladys held the pivotal role of senior contracts manager, overseeing all business and financial facets of numerous high-value prime contracts and subcontracts. Her expertise and dedication left an indelible mark on the industry.

Gladys is an alumna of the University of San Francisco, holding a BS, and the Florida Institute of Technology, where she earned an MSp in Contract Acquisition and Management.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Gladys is a charter member actively engaged with the Northern Virginia Business and Professional Women’s Club, contributing to community outreach initiatives throughout Loudoun County.

Since joining Heritage Fellowship Church in April 1999, Gladys has been a steadfast member of the Usher Ministry, assuming roles such as vice president and scheduler over the years. Simultaneously, she has been an integral part of the Nursery Ministry since 2004, serving on the planning and implementation team, acting as Servant Leader for approximately nine years, and continues to serve faithfully.

Outside of her professional and community commitments, Gladys finds joy in traveling and cherishing moments with her nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter."

Andrew Lewis

A devoted member of Heritage Fellowship Church since 2003, Andrew Lewis has made significant contributions to the church community, demonstrating unwavering commitment and leadership.  From 2004 to 2016, he played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the congregation as a member of the Security Ministry. He was appointed Vice Servant Leader for security from 2005 to 2013.  In addition, he has generously shared his knowledge and skills by conducting CPR/FA training for different ministries within the church, ensuring the well-being of the congregation. 

Andrew's passion for serving extended to the Usher Ministry, which they joined in 2010. Their exceptional leadership qualities were evident as they served as servant leader from 2012 to 2022.  Currently, he holds the distinguished positions of Eastern Region (10 States) Sergeant-At-Arms, Virginia State Sergeant-At-Arms, and District #1 President, overseeing 55 churches in Virginia

Beyond the church walls, Andrew has actively participated in various community service activities under the leadership of the Community Outreach Ministry, including Emory Rucker and St. Joseph in DC, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact.
